VETS – Veterinary Excellence Through Science

Veterinary Excellence Through Science is a project initiated by ALTIUS in partnership with the most important specialized associations in veterinary medicine: Romanian Society of Veterinary Dermatology (SRDV), Romanian Veterinary Emergency and Intensive Care Society (RoVECCS) and Romanian Society of Feline Medicine (SRMF). 

The project was launched on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of ALTIUS, bringing together prestigious international lecturers and world-class opinion leaders. Its main objective is to improve the standards of veterinary medicine in Romania and to support the continuous development of veterinary professionals.

The 4th VETS Congress will take place on May 9-10, 2025. The event will cover topical topics in emergency medicine, dermatology, cardiology, feline medicine, surgery, anesthesia and analgesia. There will also be a joint stream dedicated to veterinary business, providing valuable opportunities for participants to deepen their knowledge and professional development. In total, the VETS Congress 2025 edition will bring together 10 renowned lecturers, ensuring high-quality scientific content.

As an ALTIUS partner, the Romanian Society of Veterinary Dermatology (SRDV) is supporting the educational initiatives of the event. The dermatology conference will be held by Dr. Marie Christine Cadiergues, DVM, PhD, Dipl. ECVD and moderated by Ana Maria Boncea, DVM, Dipl. ECVD. During the conference, topics such as the management of flea infestations, treatments for difficult cases of chronic suppurative otitis, dermatologic manifestations of zoonotic diseases in domestic animals and many other topics of interest will be discussed.
