About SRDV

The Romanian Society of Veterinary Dermatology (SRDV) is an association that was founded in 2014 by eight practicing veterinarians and academics from specialized institutions, all with a keen interest in the field of veterinary dermatology.

Revenues from sponsorships, fees, congresses and meetings, profits are dedicated to current activities, organization of specific events, scientific research activities and initiatives of interest to members. The official language is Romanian.

The SRDV aims to publish original studies realized by classical and modern methods in the field of veterinary dermatology and dermatopathology and in related fields, thus being part of the general effort to promote medical knowledge. The SRDV also aims to form and promote opinions on research conducted in the field of veterinary dermatology and to maintain a dialog or exchange of ideas related to this research and its impact on dermatological practice.

We aim to enrich the clinical experience by organizing high quality scientific events by inviting international personalities with European (ECVD) or American (ACVD) recognition but also by publishing clinical cases or cases that require a special clinical interpretation. The SRDV is addressed in particular to veterinarians but also to other professions with a connection or interest in veterinary dermatology.

The SRDV will also translate into Romanian and will provide members with internationally recognized procedure guidelines and diagnostic and therapeutic protocols.
